What’s British Rock and Roll? It’s the roaring sound of Mikkey Dee on drums and Lemmy Kilmister on bass mixing together with the solid guitar power of Phillip Campbell combined with Lemmy Kilmister’s vocals. It’s what can be found in Motörhead’s album “Kiss of Death”. Motörhead’s latest album released on August 29th has yet to be glorified by awaiting virgin ears.

Motörhead was formed in 1975, and since then they have put out over 20 albums. Although Motörhead has had up to 11 different line-ups, Lemmy Kilmister has remained the heart and soul of the band and is still playing tours and inspiring artists around the world. Motörhead is famous for many songs including “Ace of Spades”, “Overkill”, and “Ironfist”.

Lemmy Kilmister’s voice is so raw that it can mow down a field of awestruck fans. Mikkey Dee’s drums will keep your head in motion with a tempo so fast that it will leave your neck sore and dying for Icy Hot after the music stops. Let’s also not forget to mention the catchy guitar riffs by Phillip Campbell and great bass guitar by Lemmy Kilmister.

Motörhead was once called Bastards but the name changed because the band’s manager felt it was unacceptable for “Top of The Pops”, a top 40 chart on the British Broadcast Channel (BBC). Motörhead will be touring Ireland, Scotland, Belgium, Holland, UK, and Germany but unfortunately not the US. All 12 tracks are fierce, but in the end lack that long awesome old school guitar solo I was waiting for in every song. By the goblet of Rock! Overall I grant the album “Kiss of Death”, 4 out of 5 stars.
