Sweet sounding 'Music and Lyrics'

Warner Bros. creates a lovely romantic comedy

Warner Bros. created a new romantic comedy film, “Music and Lyrics.” The movie starts off with a drag, but as you get further into the movie, it gets a bit more interesting. With lots of catchy music and romantic scenes this movie has got people to keep watching even if there are some boring parts.

“Music and Lyrics” stars Drew Barrymore as Sophie Fisher and Hugh Grant as Alex Fetcher. Their acting in the movie is great, and they played their roles perfectly. They kept their expressions high and made the characters much more imaginative.

“Music and Lyrics” is about Alex Fetcher, an old “Pop!” band member trying to become famous again. He agrees to help a very famous artist, Cora Corman write a new duet for her CD and sing it with her at her concert. But Alex Fetcher has lost his touch, and has not written a new song in years. What could he do?

The plot of this film was quite predictable and boring at times. A lot of the parts made no sense at all, but there was something about this movie that made me love it. There were a few hilarious moments, and some really sweet ones. For example, when Fetcher yells at Fisher for singing too quietly and that the song was intended for humans- I found that funny. The music was funny and quite catchy. I just had to go home and listen to the soundtrack after watching the movie.

This movie overall is quite amazing, it’s one of those movies that can make you smile. If you are looking for a movie to watch with a loved one, this movie would be great to watch together. It’s rated PG– 13, because there is some sexual content that little kids should not see. If you love music and have time to kill, this movie may be for you. It may not be the greatest movie because there were so many parts that I could fall asleep on, but it has sweet and romantic parts that will put a smile to your face while watching this.
