The Battle of 50 Cent vs. Kanye West
50 Cent
Fifty Cent is a talented rap artist and is finally coming out with his latest album,”Curtis”. The album’s title is named after his real name, Curtis Jackson. Fifty Cent has always provided us with sensational music. His new album, “Curtis” has been released two years previously
from his last album, “Get Rich or Die Trying.”
As a publicity stunt, Fifty Cent announced a race against Kanye West’s “Graduation” that is due on the same release date, September 11th. If “Graduation” ranks higher than “Curtis”, fifty claims he will immediately quit his rapping career. But he won’t stop producing music. But later back, sources reported he took back the claim.
In “Curtis ” Fifty Cent included Justin Timberlake, a talented singer who sang “Sexy Back” and “Summer Love”, They produced the song “Aye Technology”,
which as a hit by itself, but not enough to help Fifty Cent album rise up in the charts.
Fifty’s hit such as “Straight to the Bank” feature in the top 10 countdown. Infact, I personally liked “Straight to the Bank” because the beat was catchy and the lyrics weren’t bad. I think those two years made his album even better than Kanye’s. Many of his lyrics are much different
from what he used to write about. Another were the same kind of language he always used, the type we have grown to expect from him. It is the type that made him one of hip hop’s best artists. It’s the classic 50 Cent’s songs. Full of violent,
full of anger, yet very amusing and enchanting in an odd way. His album is on it’s way to the very top! I mean, after two years of production, his comeback album just has to be good!
This album really exceded my expectations because I expected alot and the album covered it. I also wasn’t disappointed
in hearing “Curtis ”. All the songs he ever produced were good to me and I’m sure many of us still enjoy listening to them. Another thing I always enjoyed was his rapping. He just has an unique voice. Fifty Cent is not just a great artist, he is also a great human being. He always seem to be calm despite any situation.
Fifty got over being shot nine times from the whole mess with The Game. He handled every situation the way he knew how. It seems as music is his way to release all this troubles. His lyrics seem real as though they come from somewhere. I think everybody should support him because we do admire him and his work. We don’t want him to quit at what he is doing best.
I believe “Curtis” should’ve done much better then Kanye West “Graduation” because Fifty Cent’s music seem more attractive to us teenagers. His previously albums have done well, “Curtis” has continued this tradition. I can’t wait until he releases his next album! I don’t know what’s in store, but I’m sure that would also live up to my expectations. I think fifty cent should have won. He is much more talented than Kanye West. I really enjoyed this album and definitely recommend it! I rate the album “Curtis”, four out of five stars.
