On September 11th, the race began.

On the first day of release, Kanye’s “Graduation” sold 437,000 copies, while 50 Cent’s “Curtis” sold 310,000. At the end of the week, results showed Kanye West’s “Graduation” rise to the top of the charts as he defeated 50 Cent’s “Curtis”.

“Graduation” out weighed “Curtis” by selling 957,000 copies while “Curtis” came in at 692,000 copies sold. Kanye placed first as Fifty Cent came in second in a mere difference of 265,000. Kanye’s “Graduation” also stayed ontop of the billboard for two consistent weeks. As for Fifty Cent, after losing he took back his retirement statement.

Fifty Cent will continue to make music and maybe next time he’ll have another chance to beat Kanye West. But until, nice try Fifty, and a congratulation to Mr.Kanye West!
