Another operation a computer delivers is games. Computer games utilize a student’s brain, but also take students out of this world. Some of the top games Lincoln students play these days are World of Warcraft, Starcraft, Counter-Strike and Soldier Front.

World of Warcraft is a massive multiplayer online game created by the Blizzard Company. Gamers play as an imaginary character such as a Rouge, Paladin or Shaman as they travel through a mystical world. While playing, battles against other players take place to gain honor. Honor is used to buy more armor and weapons.

The Arena function is one of the most popular activities. In the Arena, you fight against other players by casting spells, fighting like warriors, and eating the opponent creature’s insides. The only downside of World of Warcraft is that it isn’t free. The average price is 15 dollars a month, but your first month is free.

Second in line is the top PC game, Starcraft, also created by from Blizzard Company. It is a strategy game. Players control a certain race and construct a powerful force in order to take over other players’ bases. The three races are Protoss, Zerg and Terran. This game can be played by a single player and multiplayers, which is free of charge over the internet.

The third game most popularly played is Counter-Strike. This is a first person shooting game. Gamers play in teams as either the terrorists or the counter-terrorists. It’s a simple game of killing the opponents and eliminating other teams. All in all, this game is exciting and addictive.

Finally, Soldier Front is a very similar game compared to Counter-Strike. It is also a first person shooting game. Like Counter-Strike, the gamer’s goal is to eliminate the enemy’s force or blow up the other team’s vehicles. The graphics are superb in comparison to Counter-Strike. Soldier Front deserves credit because they allow gamers to play free of charge.

Even though computer games are exciting and fun, students should always remember that their education comes first. Education is always more important than any computer game despite how addictive and thrilling they are.
