Managing your time

How to survive the school year in one piece.

Summer has just ended and the lazy feeling has not yet left us. It’s been kind of difficult to stay on top of things like studying and homework, but here are some nice and easy pointers:

  1. Avoid Facebook.com, MySpace.com, and the other social-networking sites on the web. They are addictive and waste time.
  2. Try to avoid instant messaging and telephone calls. Most conversations can stand to wait until lunchtime the next day.
  3. Focus on your homework. It’s okay to step away for a snack, but don’t let that snack take more than it needs.
  4. Prioritize. Remember what is important and what is hard, and be sure to do these things first. You won’t have the energy to handle it later.
  5. Multitask, if possible. This works for some, but for others, it ends up taking more time than if they had done it one at a time.

These tips may not apply to everyone. Use at your own risk, and good luck.
