Fall Competition

Hundreds of students swarm the South Gym at Lincoln High School, cheering for their school’s Drum Corps, Color Guard, Brigade Squad Drill, and Guidon on an early Monday morning at the annual Junior Reserves Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) Fall Competition. This year, both Mission High School and Burton High School participated more actively in the competition then in past years. Galileo High School’s Drum Corps managed to take first place, Lowell High School took second, and Lincoln High School walked away with third. Washington High School won first in Color Guard, Lincoln’s Color Guard took second place with a near-perfect performance, and Lowell received third. Lincoln’s Brigade Squad Drill and Guidon did not place, but the competition was intense. For the overall trophy, Lowell High took first, Galileo took second, and Washington took third.
