Every single moment of my life is dominated by technology. Every morning, my cell phone serves as my alarm clock, every afternoon, I’m text messaging until my thumb falls off, and every night I’m on my computer to either talk to friends or do homework. I could probably count off activities that do not involve the use of technology on just two hands, and I have no problem with that.

Daily routines always involve technology of some kind, cell phones for example. Although not everyone owns one, everyone at least knows of someone who does. Those who do own one, usually consider it a necessity. For example, if somebody took away my cell phone, I’d probably cry because I consider it an electronic extension of me.

Technology is smaller and sleeker than before; it makes life a whole lot more streamlined too. When I am bored or want to finish my homework faster, technology is always there to back me up.

Designers create technology because they expect that it will improve the lives of others and themselves. Those designers worked tirelessly day in and day out and are becoming sleep deprived because of it. That is why they use their own products, to reduce stress. For examples, the workers in Sony do not approve of their new products because, “It looks nice,” It’s because the functions in that product make life easier for them and consumers, so why couldn’t technology make our lives easier?

Everyday, I need to print a new article, essay, or project for school. Sometimes, my printer will run out of ink and I’ll run around frantically because I need something for 1st period. The solution? Save it on my flashdrive – the size of a paper clip – and off I go.

Everything I want could be there in a mere click. Using the internet now is easier than ever, seeing how there are internet cafes everywhere – and even if I didn’t want to pay for it, I could always go to the library. Nowadays, if I wanted my friend to read my e-mail, I don’t have to wait until they get home, but can text them or tell them to check their email on their cell phone.

Everything I need is inside a few little gadgets, and if they were to somehow be destroyed, I would have no problem with it because I have all my files saved on a handy-dandy back-up drive. Technology is designed to surpass its predecessors and become a tool for convenience, and if there are easier ways to access technology now, so where’s the hassle?
