I wanted to know what events they are looking forward to in the upcoming months and mainly it seemed the “All City” was a huge interest.

“I can’t wait for All City. I might be thinking about asking out a girl I like,” said junior Raymond Sun.

“The goal for this year is to get more girls into Cross Country,” cross country coach, David Chueng said.

Cross country coach, David Chueng has been coach for four years now. There are four assistant coaches: Steve Cook, Higgins, Aurelia Ramus, and Luis Cortes. I’ve spoken with two, and was introduced to three. Mr.Cook had told me their season was coming up in October, so they were preparing and training for I while I was there. I was happy and excited for them. Luis Cortes, a student from San Francisco State went to oquel High School in Santa Cruz. It’s his frist season coaching for cross country, but has lots of knowledge about the team. He was in cross country for SFSU track, and was a high school runner, for both cross country and track. I want to know if he to enjoyed running.

‘I love running. It’s especially fun running together in a group,” said Assistant Coach Luis Cortes.|}

While interviewing him, I noticed that Varsity was training. It was intense but exciting to watch.

“The friendships you create running with your teammates, ?. Team pride and school pride is representative in the league, it’s definitely hard but that’s why we do It so it pushes us to see how good it can be,” said Cortes.

Coach Chueng was telling me that he wants a girl’s cross country team too, but right now he’s trying to get more girls for cross country and track.

“I wish kids were more serious about school, but the goal this year is to get more girls in cross country. This year I’m looking forward to seniors Sloane Cook, Terrence Chan, and Recca Cho’s performances and of course, All City.

First season starts October 17th. Hopefully there will be more female recruits in the future.
