This Years Golf Team Up to Par
She walks, walks by the fairway, calculations tattooed in her eyes as she picks her club and swings her way to an applauding crowd. Their motivation and certainty are greatly shown as they swing their clubs to victory.
Since their season started, huge efforts, and dedications are profoundly given as they practice three to four days a week, not including the individual practices of the players during their own time.
“The more you practice, the more you feel you have control over the game,” said coach Robinson “it’s a very difficult sport to be good at.” Coach Robinson has been coaching the team for five years now , teaching his golfers the patience and motivation they need.
It is very noticeable that he has been doing a fine job as he supports the team to do their best with no hesitation they will win their match.
So far, the golf team has been defeating their competitors, including Galileo, which for now is probably their biggest competition. At this rate, our golfers have a good chance of winning the city championship and further.
“Our team is very good, we have a good chance to win the championship this year,” said coach Robinson “this is the best team we’ve ever have, since I’ve been here.”
“People think golf’s a boring and timid sport but I think it’s soothing as a sport, it helps you concentrate and focus,” sophomore Jimin Lee said “it’s like a family, there’s no judging or anything, no peer pressure, we’re very strong.” With the girls’ positive attitude, and strong bond with one another and coach, they can show what golf’s truly about.
“It can be boring in some ways when you watch it on television…, but you have to play it, to understand it.” Coach Robinson said.
